          How To Clean an Electric Kettle

          Remove the limescale with vinegar

          Pour an equal quantity of water and vinegar in the kettle and make a solution.

          Fill the kettle around half way or three-quarter way with this solution.

          If you don't have vinegar, you can use lemon or baking soda as substitutes.

          Soften the scale buildup

          Turn on the kettle and let this solution come to a boil.

          Turn off the kettle and let the solution soak inside the kettle for 20-30 minutes to soften the scale buildup.

          You can leave the solution longer or increase the quantity of vinegar if the buildup is really bad

          Clean the kettle

          Scrub the inside of kettle with a non-metallic sponge, cloth or a soft brush

          Rinse thoroughly with fresh water

          For removing the smell of vinegar, you can fill it with water and let it come to a quick boil and pour it out

          Wipe down the inside of kettle and leave it to dry
